Terms of use

VERA Pro is a subscription for the VERA desktop app. The app source stays available under its open-source license. These terms cover the paid account, the hosted sign-in site, and the model allowance.

The subscription

Pro is $12 per month, billed in advance by Paddle, the merchant of record. Paddle’s checkout terms apply to the payment. The allowance is $6 of model usage per calendar month on the key issued to your account. Unused allowance does not roll over. When the allowance is spent, Ask with that key stops until the provider resets it or you add your own provider key in the app.

Your documents

Search runs on your computer. Pro Ask sends the question and the retrieved passages needed to answer it to OpenRouter and the model provider you select. Do not ask questions about material you are not allowed to send to those providers.

Acceptable use

Do not share the issued key, probe it out of the app to resell model access, or use Pro to break the law or a model provider’s terms. We may disable a key that is abused or that puts the shared provider balance at risk.

Cancellation

Cancel in the billing portal. Pro continues until the end of the period you already paid for, then the key is disabled. The desktop app, your files, and local search keep working.

Changes

We may change the price or the allowance for later periods. The site will show the current price before you are billed again.
